Personal Information:

  • Full Name: Emily Huse
  • Grade: 10
  • Role in FFA Chapter: Member

FFA Involvement:

  • Duration of Involvement: 1 year
  • Activities/Events: This year (2024) I have participated in District Food Science, District Vet Science, State Horse Judging, and District Livestock Judging. I hope to participate in many more cdes in the years to come
  • Projects: Seeing as this is my first year in FFA I only have one SAE and that is my Breeding ewe, Tulsa.

Personal Interests and Hobbies:

  • Interests/Hobbies: Showing Lambs and Cattle, Hunting, Drawing, and Livestock Judging
  • Balancing Involvement: FFA is a key part of my life, not only do I have a SAE project I enjoy traveling to CDE’s. When I’m not doing anything for my FFA chapter, I’m working with my sheep, going to jackpots, planning my 4-H clubs next meeting or event, or doing school. Balancing all these aspects in my life has been challenging but after a while I have gotten into a routine that helps me juggle everything.

Future Plans:

  • After High School: After Highschool I plan to go to UCC for an associates in business. After that I plan to get my real estate license and start investing in condos. During all of that I will be running my Show Lamb Breeding operation called Iron Creek Club Lambs.
  • Continued Involvement: I plan on continuing to be involved in FFA by providing our youth with club lambs. I also plan on supporting our local FFA chapters by donating to them and sponsoring events.
  • FFA’s Impact: FFA has prepared my future endeavors by giving me skills in public speaking, choosing Livestock, improving my social skills, and broadening my connections to other people around the state
